Fine.

I hate when someone uses “fine” as a descriptor.  “Fine” indicates that all is not right, that the mark has been missed.  I was told last week that my work was “fine.”  I’m still stewing about it.  Be upfront or be out the damn door.

Fine is boring, fine is mediocre.  Be colorful with your adjectives!
